• A certified copy or "notarized copy" of a document up to 3 pages is $75. Up to 10 Pages $150. Over 10 pages to be negotiated

• We will review you property assessment and based upon our analysis will either suggest that no appeal be launched or an appeal should be launched. Our fee is based soley upon a successful appeal. Our fee, if successful, is 50% of the savings for the normal four year assessment cycle. Currently, the Ontario Government has frozen the assessment updates so our fee is the  great of $1000 or 100% of the first years savings plus Ministry application fee.

• General Advice on setting up a business, dealing with the CRA, clients, and general operations. Budgeting. Cash Flow charts. Lease, Shareholder & Partnership agreement reviews

• Set up parameters of the mediation and the participants. Provide written instructions as to how to proceed. Set up dates to provide each party with disclosure information to move the mediation along.. Set up location or coordinates for mediation.  Parties are to provide a maximum of 6-page position paper explaining what they are seeking/expect  from the mediation. Fee Includes all the above plus allowance for 2 hours for review of the submissions six hours of mediation and 2 hour follow-up in ne

• If we feel that we can help the tenant fight an unreasonable landlord, then we will represent the tenant

• Fee based upon the number of units in the complex and whether the complex is a mixed used property. Landlord must provide copies of all materials to be relied upon for the application. Note that basic fee is for preparation of application only.

• If you have already appealed your assessment then we can provide consulting services on an hourly basis:

• Our minimum fee for any file is $500. Our fees exclude expenses such a court fees, filing fees, courier fees. We bill in 15 minute increments, minimum $50.

• Before we take on your case, we must review your documentation. Generally this includes any court filings, invoices, emails, texts etc. We charge $395 for this review for up to a maximum of 30 pages of documents. Up to 20 minutes of statue and case law is included where necessary.

• Same as Basic Review but where the documentation exceeds 30 documents but not more than 50 documents, our fee increases to $595. Additional 20 minutes of case law research is included

• Once the review is complete (usually within a day), we will discuss with you how we suggest proceeding with the case or whether we are proficient enough to handle the case, whether your require our full legal services or simply providing you with specific services; this allows you to control the process  to save some money. Of course, this requires you do do some work on your own. At Shainhouse Paralegal, we want you to feel confident about the case both on a legal and financial basis.

All invoices are due when remitted and  if  not paid withing 14 days of the invoice date, then SPS reserves the right to stop providing any further legal services including communicating with Court, Tribunal or any other party.
